Culture and knowledge are mafia’ sworn enemies whereas ignorance or illiteracy are her best friends. These best friends are going around more than ever in our country resulting in a new ideology. Cinema can do a lot to challenge it: a picture is one of men’s most democratic intuition, a picture is for everybody to know.

Next to our friend Don Luigi Ciotti and with Ettore Scola’s words in our hearts, as compelling as ever, Cinemovel Foundation continues its commitment for the 2018 Edition of Libero Cinema in Libera Terra, the Travelling Film Festival Against Every Mafia.
The ‘cine-van’ is ready to go: the screen will be up starting 17th July 2018 in Lombardia, Liguria, Emilia-Romagna, Toscana, Umbria, Campania, Puglia, Calabria, Sicilia until 5th August, to champion the values of legality and to broaden the field of democracy.
The Travelling Film Festival of Libero Cinema in Libera Terra 2018 includes two thematic summer camps: Estate Liberi in San Giuseppe Jato (Sicily) and Genoa (Liguria).
The 2018 edition of Libero Cinema in Libera Terra also presents “Rifiutopoli. Veleni e antidoti.” (Rifiutopoli, venoms and antidotes). On stage the performance of journalist Enrico Fontana engaged in a dialogue with Vito Baroncini and his bright whiteboard.
Next autumn the travelling Film Festival of Libero Cinema in Libera Terra will be in Ferrara on 5th-6th October, inside the festival of the Italian magazine Internazionale. On 12th October the last leg of its journey will be in Paris at Atelier Varan, the iconic documentary school, born in Mozambique, alike Cinemovel.
