Strage di Via Carini
La strage di Via Carini fu un’azione mafiosa in cui, il 3 settembre 1982 nella palermitana via Isidoro Carini, morirono il prefetto di Palermo e generale dei carabinieri Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa, la moglie Emanuela Setti Carraro e l’agente di scorta Domenico Russo. Il generale Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa stava uscendo dalla prefettura a bordo di una Autobianchi A112 beige, guidata dalla moglie Emanuela Setti Carraro, per andare a cenare in un ristorante di Mondello. La A112 era seguita da un’Alfetta guidata dall’agente di scorta Domenico Russo. Alle ore 21.15, mentre passavano da via Isidoro Carini, una motocicletta, guidata da un killer che aveva alle sue spalle il mafioso Pino Greco, affiancò l’Alfetta di Russo e Greco lo uccise con un fucile. Contemporaneamente una BMW 518, guidata da Antonino Madonia e Calogero Ganci, raggiunse la A112 e i killer aprirono violentemente il fuoco contro il parabrezza con un AK-47. Subito dopo l’auto e la motocicletta servite per il delitto vennero portate in un luogo isolato e lì date alle fiamme. L’autobianchi A112 oggetto dell’attacco è conservata nel museo storico di Voghera.
Ho voluto scegliere di argomentare la strage di Via Carini perché trovo curioso e, allo stesso tempo affascinante, documentarsi su cosa può fare la mafia, quanto può far star male e quanto sia crudele il tutto.
Anche se sono passati trentacinque anni dal suo omicidio, Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa rimane e rimarrà credo per sempre il carabiniere più famoso e amato d’Italia, poiché è stato un innovatore e ha introdotto un metodo investigativo che, ancora adesso, viene spiegato nelle scuole militari e preso come esempio, oltre ad essere preso come modello.

Ho scelto l’illustrazione luce/buio perché Dalla Chiesa è stato un grande prefetto di Palermo e un grande generale occupato in prima linea contro la mafia e, dopo la sua morte, questa “luce” si è spenta per sempre, diventando così tutto buio.
