La storia di Rita Atria
Rita Atria è nata il 4 settembre 1974 a Partanna, in Sicilia, ed è stata una testimone di giustizia italiana.
Il padre di Rita faceva parte di Cosa Nostra ed è stato ucciso durante un agguato. Alla morte del padre Rita si lega ancora di più al fratello Nicola, anch’esso mafioso, che si era sposato nove giorni prima dell’omicidio.
Nel 1991 il fratello viene ucciso e la moglie, insieme a Rita, iniziano a collaborare con la polizia.
Rita cerca giustizia per gli omicidi.
Le rivelazioni vengono raccolte dal giudice Paolo Borsellino; Rita si lega a lui come se fosse un padre.
Grazie alle testimonianze di Rita e quelle di altre persone, molto mafiosi di Partanna, Sciacca e Marsala, vengono arrestati.
Si uccise all’età di 17 anni, la settimana dopo la strage di via D’Amelio, dove aveva perso la vita il magistrato Paolo Borsellino.
