“Per questo mi chiamo Giovanni” è un fumetto di Luigi Garlando che racconta la storia di un bambino di nome Giovanni che vive a Palermo. Nella sua scuola, purtroppo, c’è un bambino prepotente di cui tutti hanno paura e Giovanni decide di raccontarlo al padre, il quale capisce che è arrivato il momento di parlare al figlio di un concetto molto importante, quello della mafia. Giovanni passa quindi un intero giorno con il padre, percorrendo le strade di Palermo e visitando luoghi importanti per una grande figura, quella di Giovanni Falcone, che si distinse per aver combattuto la mafia fino al giorno della sua morte, il 23 maggio 1992. Stesso giorno in cui nasceva il protagonista del fumetto e motivo per cui il padre volle chiamarlo così. Giovanni , da questa splendida giornata passata con il padre, impara molte cose a cui prima non aveva mai pensato e diventa più coraggioso.
